You will be interested in a career in electrical and electronic engineering. You will study units such as Electrical technology, PLCs, Electronic Measurement and Testing, 3-Phase Systems, and Engineering Project.
This is a one year top-up course which will build on learners’ previous achievement of Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering.
The units will be focused on specialising in the electronic and electrical field, and will give learners a theoretical and practical understanding of this subject.
If you have gained your subsidiary diploma outside South Tyneside College, you will need a meeting with the course leader to discuss what units you have achieved, and how they map across to this qualification.
Learners must have successfully completed a BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering.
Successful completion will allow progression to HNC Engineering courses, or employment, or higher apprenticeship.
