Adult English and Maths

OVERVIEW

English

Courses will be available in City and Guilds Level 1 and Level 2 Functional English and AQA GCSE English Language. Enrolment onto the appropriate level will be agreed following assessment and interview.

Maths

Courses will be available in City and Guilds Level 1 and Level 2 Functional maths and WJEC Eduqas GCSE Mathematics. Enrolment onto the appropriate level will be agreed following assessment and interview.

The course is open to all Adults (19+) who do not already hold a GCSE maths/English qualification grade 4-9 (A*-C).

Students will be invited in for assessment of skills and interview prior to enrolment.

Assessment will be by examination at the end of the programme

Students can progress from Functional Skills onto GCSE.

English classes will be held on Mondays, 6 – 9 pm.

Maths classes will be held on Wednesdays, 5.30-8.30pm.

Functional skills will run over 17 weeks.

GCSE classes will run for the full year, September to June.
